Can the Jackery Explorer 240 v2 Run an Electric Hot Plate?
Updated 2026-10-17 · No
No. An electric hot plate draws about 1000W, more than the Jackery Explorer 240 v2’s 300W continuous AC output. The inverter will overload and shut off as soon as it switches on.

Recharging with solar
The Jackery Explorer 240 v2 accepts up to 100W of solar input. In real conditions that harvests about 375Wh on a sunny day (5 peak-sun hours).
Tips
- Coil hot plates cycle their element to hold the set temperature.
- The Jackery Explorer 240 v2 uses LiFePO4 (LFP) cells, rated for thousands of cycles, so running it down daily won’t wear it out quickly.
