Recharging with solar
The EcoFlow Delta 2 accepts up to 500W of solar input. In real conditions that harvests about 1.9 kWh on a sunny day (5 peak-sun hours), or about 750Wh with one 200W panel.
Solar can’t fully keep up. A space heater uses about 12 kWh a day at 8 hours of use, more than the EcoFlow Delta 2’s best-case solar harvest. Solar will stretch the runtime but not sustain it.
Tips
- Space heaters are the hardest load for a battery: 1,500W of continuous heat. The low setting (usually 750W) doubles runtime.
- You’ll still have about 300W of AC capacity left for other devices at the same time, though they’ll share the same battery.
- The EcoFlow Delta 2 uses LiFePO4 (LFP) cells, rated for thousands of cycles, so running it down daily won’t wear it out quickly.
