How Long Will the DJI Power 1000 Run a Refrigerator?
Updated 2026-10-17 · Yes
The numbers
| Battery capacity | 1024Wh (LFP) |
|---|---|
| Usable energy | 870Wh (85% via AC outlets) |
| Continuous AC output | 2200W |
| Surge rating | 4400W |
| Refrigerator running watts | 180W |
| Startup watts | 1200W |
| Average draw | 59.4W |
| Estimated runtime | 15 hours |
| Energy per day of typical use | 1.4 kWh |
1024Wh × 0.85 = 870Wh usable ÷ 59.4W average = 14.7 hours

Recharging with solar
The DJI Power 1000 accepts up to 800W of solar input. In real conditions that harvests about 3 kWh on a sunny day (5 peak-sun hours), or about 750Wh with one 200W panel.
Solar can keep up. A refrigerator uses about 1.4 kWh a day at 24 hours of use, so with enough panels and good sun the DJI Power 1000 can run it indefinitely.
Tips
- A full-size fridge compressor cycles on and off, so its average draw is about a third of its running watts. The startup surge when the compressor kicks in is the real test for the inverter.
- You’ll still have about 2020W of AC capacity left for other devices at the same time, though they’ll share the same battery.
- The DJI Power 1000 uses LiFePO4 (LFP) cells, rated for thousands of cycles, so running it down daily won’t wear it out quickly.

FAQ
Will the DJI Power 1000 run a refrigerator overnight?
Yes. Eight hours uses about 475Wh, roughly 55% of the DJI Power 1000’s usable capacity.
How long does the DJI Power 1000 take to recharge with solar?
With its maximum 800W of solar input it refills in about 1.7 hours of strong sun. With a single 200W panel, expect about 6.8 hours of full sun.
