Can the EcoFlow River 2 Pro Run a Portable Air Conditioner?
Updated 2026-10-17 · No
No. A portable air conditioner draws about 1000W, more than the EcoFlow River 2 Pro’s 800W continuous AC output. The inverter will overload and shut off as soon as it switches on.

Recharging with solar
The EcoFlow River 2 Pro accepts up to 220W of solar input. In real conditions that harvests about 825Wh on a sunny day (5 peak-sun hours), or about 750Wh with one 200W panel.
Tips
- Portable ACs (10,000 BTU class) are less efficient than window units because they vent hot air through a hose.
- The EcoFlow River 2 Pro uses LiFePO4 (LFP) cells, rated for thousands of cycles, so running it down daily won’t wear it out quickly.
